US Propane Exports Break 2 Million B/D for First Time
U.S. crude oil and petroleum product exports hit a record in April, up 21% from the previous high set in December 2023. Propane was the second-largest export category, topping 2 million barrels a day for the first time in monthly EIA data and running above five-year seasonal highs into May.
Campbell Oil Expands Into Western New York With Sail Energy Deal
Campbell Oil Co. closed on the New York assets of Sail Energy on June 22, picking up the Hometowne Energy and Rinker Oil businesses that serve residential, commercial, agricultural and wholesale customers with propane, heating oil and motor fuels. The deal extends Campbell Oil's footprint further into the Northeast as regional propane marketer consolidation continues.

Stanadyne's Propane Direct-Injection Engine Nears Commercial Launch
Stanadyne, working with the Propane Education & Research Council and Katech, has moved its propane direct-injection fuel system to production-ready status, targeting commercial availability in Q4 2027. Integrated into a GM 6.6-liter V8, the system delivers propane at up to 350 bar of pressure and produces 401 horsepower with a 17,370-pound towing capacity.
